Description
The Titan-class joined the fleet at during the 6th year of war. Incorporating the latest in United Earth design, she was the fleet's first supercarrier, able to carry up to 135 fighters, bombers and support craft. Unlike other fleet carriers, her hull bristled with heavy guns, missile and torpedo launchers, making her armament as heavy as a medium-sized United Earth cruiser.
Early in the war, she was sent to attack a Martian base in orbit of Asteroid OV-9023. Her entire battlegroup was destroyed, she and the destroyer, UES Oblivion managed to retreat and make for spacedock. This made the Allies doubt her effectiveness in combat and decided to cancel the remaining 4 ships under construction.
After a quick refit and repair, she was launched to patrol the United Earth Frontier from Martian attack. The Allies were losing the war and could not risk losing the expensive warship like the Titan. Alone, the Titan happened on a Martian fleet en route to attack the Space Station Serengeti at the United Earth border. Jumping in during the heat of battle, she single handedly took on the 12-ship strong fleet, including the Martian Battleship MSV Naraka. Suffering two nuclear detonations on her port bow, she fought hard, destroying nearly the entire martian fleet at the cost of three-quarters of her fighters. This changed the Allies' view on the ship and the Titan Battlegroup was formed, the Titan being the battlegroup flagship. Through the course of the war, the Titan was resposnsible in a large number of Martian defeat and later became the base-of-operations for the United Earth Special Forces group Echo.
She later took part in the defense of Earth, before launching to secretly deploy Echo on Mars. At the end of the war, she took part in the Martian invasion.
After the war, she remained with her battlegroup and became a celebrated warship, earning much respect from her peers. *To be continued*
