Lightstar Avalon LS-65

An Experimental Lightstar importing Stealth technology as well as heavy firepower. Deployed during covert operation missions, these ships formed the backbone of the Colonial RRTD, Rapid-Response-Tactical-Division, able to reach crisis areas in a moments notice. The ship was first proven during the terrorist crisis on Saggiton, where an armed faction had taken over the Redoux towers on the planet's surface. Counter-Terrorists squads used the Lightstar as a command operations base (with the permission of the Colonial Fleet, of course), able to defuse the situation with no loss of civilian life.

During the events of the Second Cylon War, two of the ships, the Lightstar Vicar, LS-71 and the Lightstar Repulse, LS-68 defended the Sagitton Shipyards gallantly. With their CNP systems offline when in port, they were imprevious to cylon hacking. But the overwhelming cylon forces were able to destroy both ships.

The Avalon herself was on deep-space patrol, encountering a Cylon task force approaching the Colony of Aereolon. It is not known of the fate of the Avalon, as her last known orders was to fire her stealth systems. She may have slipped away or destroyed by the cylon fleet, but has yet to be confirmed.
