Based on the highly sucessful civilian KSM-56 and KSM-57A tactical gauss pistols, the KSM-57B was purpose-built to meet the expectations of a new enhanced sidearm for the United Earth military to replace the aging Rukso R-11 gauss pistol.
Externally, the KSM-57B is nearly identical to the KSM-57A, except for the fact that it has two coilgun barrels. The advanced battery system in the KSM-75B allows it to handle the load of two coils while still maintaining the performance of the earlier weapon. In fact, the KSM-75B's performance actually surpasses it's single-barrelled counterpart.
Effective at short to medium range, the KSM-75B gives the United Earth Infantryman a powerful and accurate sidearm for use in nearly any situation. The KSM-75B is even accurate at long distances, as an unconfirmed report of a United Earth soldier hitting a target at a range of nearly 750 meters with the KSM-75B.
The KSM-75B has 3 firing modes. The first is a semi-automatic fire mode. A burst fire mode fires two rounds per pull of the trigger. There is also an automatic firing mode. The KSM-75B can carry 30 5.7mm rounds per clip. Though not designed to take any sights, United Earth soldiers have shown their adaptive ability by doing a simple modification on a Fenlas REFLEXIS-S sight to mount on their KSM-75Bs. An underslung grenade launcher can also be mounted to give soldiers a firepower boost.
looks a bit heavy to be held with one hand, and I wouldn't like to hold on to a grenade launcher barrel or a Magnetic coil. and is the Grenade launcher hand reloaded?
I would think that the grenades would be gunpowder-fired, to save weight of the launcher as well as the fact that I have no idea where the batteries would go. O.o
