Destroyer Chandra DD-12
The workhorse of a Battlestar fleet, the Chandra class was designed to provide a fast attack ship for a Battlestar Group, as well as to act as an additional gun platform. The Chandra was built after the war, and was designed to carry the newer Ryker AntiShip Missiles. Her gun armament was ferocious, sometimes even being classified as a light cruiser. She, like her predecessor, the Newita, was Atmospheric capable for short period of time Eventually, some 56 ships were built with more in order. All ships were presumed lost during the second war.

I woder if a ship like this survive the initial cylon attack, and started a gerrilla war with the cylons? One hell of a story. How many combat shuttles, Marine and Navy personel are aboard? Must be one mean mother.
